Kuala Lumpur is a food lovers’ favourite destination with a large population of different races and cultures. It doesn’t take much effort to find a place to eat with a wide variety of traditional food for you to try. Moreover, Kuala Lumpur’s cosmopolitan lifestyle means that there are plenty of international restaurants and bars to enjoy.
As English is widely spoken, taxis and organised tours are very reasonably priced and there is excellent public transport so you will have no trouble enjoying the many exciting places of interest in and around Kuala Lumpur.
There is so much to do and see – it’s impossible to list everything, but some of the favourites are The Twin Towers, Batu Caves, The National Mosque, The Lake Garden including The Butterfly Park, The Bird Park, The Orchid/Hibiscus Gardens, The Asian Garden and the National Monument. There are also many interesting Temples and Shrines, art galleries, museums and craft centres. Sunway Lagoon, a water theme park set in 80 acres including a beach with waves, is another popular attraction.
You can take a day trip to Putrajaya, or historic Port Dickson or Malacca, or to the popular Elephant Sanctuary.
If you want to venture further you can enjoy beautiful tropical islands with sandy beaches. These are a favourite for diving and snorkelling around coral reefs with many varieties of colourful fish. Further inland you can visit amazing ancient rainforest with towering trees and diverse wildlife. There is so much on offer to the visitor to Malaysia that it is hard to choose!
